In this section we concentrate on keeping the lungs healthy and on the benefits of being able to breathe deeply and have a strong cough.

Breathing, singing, talking, whistling and coughing all require control and co-ordination of respiratory and abdominal muscles.

Here you will find activities and exercises which aim to maintain or improve your ability to breathe deeply and keep your voice and cough strong.  Having strong respiratory and abdominal muscles also help reduce the impact of colds and chest infections.

Controlling your breathing can also have a positive impact on your wellbeing by helping you to reduce stress and relax.
