Pilates

Pilates uses gentle controlled movements with emphasis on alignment, breathing and developing a strong “core” strength whilst improving coordination and balance.  It is said that Pilates can improve posture, muscle tone, balance and joint mobility while helping to relieve stress and tension.

Standing routine

If you would like to try some Pilates start with this 8-minute introduction from the MS society where the instructor teaches you key principles and body awareness before you move on to trying the routines below.  This introduction is all in standing, but does not include any stepping.
